Reel Black Men Film Festival 2010
Raleigh Studios Chaplin Theater
5300 Melrose Avenue
LA, CA
One of the films that I saw at this festival that stood out in my mind  was 'The Adventures of Roller Boy, a two-minute-fifty two seconds short directed and produced by Christopher Dill. It was different, yet funny. 'The Adventures of Roller Boy' depicted a modern-day romantically-connotated relationship with a Charlie Chaplin vaudeville twist. Imagine watching a film with no speaking parts, just the sound of animated frilly music. You literally watch the characters movements to figure out what's going on in the scene. Unique take for a short, but not always easy to follow. Independent filmmakers YOU ROCK!
