James Garcia Sotomayer, Filmmaker/Director and Producer/Media Publicist, Helen Promius are the dynamic duo of the film  "Taught to Hate", a short film based on a true story about hate crimes and racism in America. Actor, Nick Raio was cast in  the lead role as the racist Uncle whose deadly influence becomes the demise of his nephew who unwittingly becomes a part of a hate crime.I met James and Helen in person this year at The Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival at Grauman's Chinese Mann Theater in Hollywood where "Taught to Hate" was screened on August 18.
